With climate change, natural hazards and weather extremes are increasing dramatically. Germany, too, must prepare for more and more intense droughts, heat waves, storms, hail, heavy rain and floods and develop strategies against them. Climate protection, adaptation to climate impacts and insurance are essential to protect people, property and infrastructure in the long term.
